The Fairfield Flash and Bronx Bombers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

The Bronx Bombers racked up a win at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, bumping off the Fairfield Flash, 7-1. Carl Cozens, who started for Bronx, pitched effectively for his team. Cozens got the win, improving to 4-0. He allowed 4 hits and walked 5 over 6.1 innings. Cozens allowed 1 earned run.

Yoshitoki Kitamura, who is tied for 9th in the DKL in RBI with 85, aided the Bronx cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the third. For the game, the designated hitter was 2-5 with a double.

"I liked his command," said Bronx manager Weston Papenfuss. "Carl was throwing strikes."

The Bombers bumped their record to 74-56 with this latest triumph.
