The Portland Beavers downed the Kansas City Tornadoes, 5-3, at Debris Field. Teruo Sato led the way, going 4-for-4 for Portland. Félix Reina earned the win for Portland. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 4 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 1-4. The Tornadoes fall to 12-19 and continue to sputter in the early going.
