Racers Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
The Racers had to overcome a fine performance from Detroit pitcher Stone Carlton to grab a 5-4 win at The Death Star. Carlton allowed 2 earned runs over 5.2 innings. The Racers bumped their record to 70-60 with this latest triumph.

Late-game drama came in the top of the 11th inning. With no one out and the bases empty, the batter, Martin Whitney, hit a single. It helped Bowling Green seize the win.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Whitney said after the game.
