Detroit Death Stars starter Dave Munier pitched a strong game against the Bowling Green Racers at The Death Star, leading the Death Stars to a 4-1 win. Detroit reliever Tagashashi Ueda picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Ah-cy Jian took the loss. The first-place Death Stars have a one-game lead in their division.

Had Tsurayuki Hasegawa not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Hasegawa hit a 3-run home run. That made the score 4-1, in favor of the Death Stars.

Hasegawa called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
