The Kansas City Tornadoes dealt the Portland Beavers a 5-3 loss at Debris Field. Franklin Gray was the star on offense. He was 3-4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 times. Munemori Abe earned save number 8. The Beavers fall to 13-17 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2033 season.
The Tornadoes got a big at-bat from center fielder Mark Clubb. For the game, Clubb was 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Kansas City a 5-3 lead.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Clubb.
