Bumblebees Win at Omaha, 11-9
|
The Pasadena Bumblebees beat the Omaha Raptors, 11-9, at Anchorage Municipal Stadium. Pasadena catcher Won-sub Pak earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Marco Godoy picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-2. Harold Hayne was tagged with the loss. Pasadena is now 52-69, while Omaha is 66-57.
Cory McIver helped out the Pasadena cause in the top of the third inning with a bases-clearing double. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 3 with a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," McIver said.
