Paczkis Lose to Aeropostales in Walk Off
|
Despite a great performance by Canton third baseman Noboru Kamada, the Indian Wells Aeropostales defeated the Paczkis by the score of 9-8 at Stars Field. Kamada went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Indian Wells reliever Kevin Spurr was the winner. His record is now 4-2. The losing pitcher was P.J. Ross. Indian Wells is now riding a 3-game win streak.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Indian Wells third baseman Bernardo Rodríguez, facing P.J. Ross, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Aeropostales the 9-8 win.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Rodríguez.
