Martinez Lifts Death Stars to 9-3 Triumph
Death Stars shortstop Tony Martinez put his stamp on his team's 9-3 win over the Omaha Raptors. Martinez went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for Detroit in the contest. Detroit reliever Tagashashi Ueda was credited with the win, to go to 3-2. Michael Walsh took the loss for Omaha. The Death Stars bumped their record to 65-56 with this latest triumph.

Lloyd Murphy, who is tied for 5th in the DKL in extra base hits with 48, aided the Detroit cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the second. For the game, the center fielder was 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Murphy. "And not try to do too much."
