Aeropostales Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Cats
|
Indian Wells got a strong outing from John Faivre as the Aeropostales defeated the Fort Worth Cats, 2-1, at LaGrave Field. The Aeropostales bumped their record to 62-60 with this latest triumph.
The Aeropostales got a big at-bat from first baseman Craig Hilton. For the game, Hilton went 1-1. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 55th hit of the season gave Indian Wells a 2-1 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Hilton. "And not try to do too much."
