The Scranton Escape beat the Fairfield Flash, 8-5, at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The Escape got a fine performance from second baseman Luis López, who captured player of the game honors. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Scranton reliever Robert Cook picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Saiyid Mashwanis shouldered the loss. Scranton currently is in last place in the Nick Adenhart League Tony La Russa Division at 48-71.
