Raptors Squelch Death Stars Offense in Shutout Win
The Omaha Raptors topped the Detroit Death Stars, 3-0, in Darryl Kile League action at The Death Star. The player of the game was Omaha pitcher and Ciudad Ojeda, Venezuela native Edmundo Luas. Luas went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 0, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-3. Jason Engel earned his 26th save in 33 chances.

The Raptors got a big at-bat from third baseman Stanley Harvey. For the game, Harvey was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Omaha a 1-0 lead.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Luas told the Omaha Bulletin.
