Republic Bang Out 7-3 Win Versus Maple

So Cal right-hander Elias Bowen made an effective start against the Maple Marauders at Legends Park, leading his team to a 7-3 win. Bowen went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 3-0. So Cal, now 18-10, has played well in the early going.
So Cal used the bat of Shadi bin Mufeed to get the win. The center fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the Republic ahead, 6-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Bowen. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
