Peoria rode a good effort from starter Alan Gorringe to beat the Bronx Bombers at Excavatar Park. The final score was 4-1. Gorringe got the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Gorringe allowed no earned runs. Adam Stickells was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 10 of 12 save opportunities.

Bailey Povey aided the Peoria cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the catcher went 1-3 with a home run and a walk.

"I thought we played a nice game," Povey told the Peoria Bulletin. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
