Earthquakes Solve Sasquatch, 6-4
|
Seattle third baseman Devayukta Pasapuleti had a good game, even if his team did not. The Sasquatch dropped a 6-4 decision to San Francisco at Golden Gate Park. Pasapuleti was 2-3 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Noriyuki Ikeda, who went 6.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 1-2. The save went to Eddie Rosado, his 7th this season.
Gerard Vivian, who is tied for 4th in the TML in bases on balls with 19, aided the San Francisco cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Vivian. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
The Sasquatch fall to 10-19 and continue to sputter in the early going.
