Tony Ramirez was instrumental in his team's 5-3 triumph over the Antioch Coal Miners. The second baseman was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Billings Mustangs. Cris Ayala got the win, improving to 4-5. He worked 6 innings, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. The Mustangs improved to 55-61.
In the top of the 6th, catcher Moo-hyun Boone gave Billings the lead when he hit a 2-run double. The Mustangs had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out double off Antioch pitcher Orlando Garza changed that -- and Billings went on to win.
Boone attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
