Armada Score Late to Upend Jacks, 4-3
|
The Quebec Armada topped the Jacksonville Jacks, 4-3, in Thurman Munson League action at Lucky 7 Ballpark. The player of the game was Quebec pitcher and India native Adhipa Vemireddy. The Jacks fall to 12-16 and continue their lackluster start in 2033.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Quebec third baseman Felipe Reyes, facing Kichibei Endo, had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It gave the Armada the 4-3 win.
"It was sure nice to get the win but there's a lot of baseball left," Reyes after the game.
