Racers Prevail, 4-2, Over Scranton
|
Racers catcher Ramón Medina put his stamp on his team's 4-2 win over the Scranton Escape. Medina went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Bowling Green in the contest. Sae-wan Yi was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 20 of 23 save opportunities. The Racers bumped their record to 66-51 with this latest triumph.
The Racers got a big at-bat from shortstop Hideaki Fujita. For the game, Fujita was 1 for 5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 10th double of the season gave Bowling Green a 2-0 lead.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Fujita said after the game.
