The Detroit Death Stars went home winners at The Firepit, thanks in large part to starter Stone Carlton. Carlton silenced the Joplin Fireballs, enabling Detroit to grab the 4-1 win. Carlton picked up the win for Detroit, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 5-1. With the win, Detroit goes to 62-52, while the Fireballs fall to 50-62.
