Cacti Get Road Win, 4-1

With center fielder Rob Leibbrandt leading the charge, the Albuquerque Cacti defeated the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 4-1, at Stars Field. Leibbrandt, who is tied for 4th in the NAL in triples with 4, went 3-3 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 times. Albuquerque reliever Guo-xiu Du picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Masafumi Tamura shouldered the loss. Hisataro Sato got the save, his 36th in 40 chances.
The Cacti got a big at-bat from right fielder Francisco Germán. For the game, Germán was 1-3 with a triple. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Albuquerque a 1-0 lead.
"It feels good to get this one," Germán told the Albuquerque Daily.
The first-place Cacti, at 72-40, now lead their division by 16 games.
