The Vancouver Canadians defeated the Scranton Escape, 4-1, in Nick Adenhart League action at Stanley Park, with Vancouver pitcher Pedro Pérez named player of the game. Vancouver is now 53-56.

Vancouver took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, center fielder Tameyoshi Okuda hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Okuda. "And not try to do too much."
