Kodiaks Bang Out 9-4 Win Versus Minneapolis
|
The Calgary Kodiaks topped the Minneapolis Freeze by the score of 9-4, with the largest share of the credit going to catcher Jack Zapor. Zapor went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Kodiaks. Manuel Delgard got the win, improving to 4-5. He held the Freeze to 4 earned runs on 6 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 5. Juan Ramírez earned his 12th save in 16 chances.
Jaganmani Dharuna aided the Calgary cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop drew 2 walks in 5 trips to the plate.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Dharuna.
