The Scranton Escape topped the Vancouver Canadians, 8-3, in Nick Adenhart League action at Stanley Park. The player of the game was Scranton second baseman Norberto Rivera. Scranton reliever Guo-quiang Zhào was the winner. His record is now 7-11. Yoshiaki Kojima took the loss. With the win over Vancouver, the Escape improved to 44-66.
Mitsuo Sasaki, who is tied for 5th in the NAL in home runs with 17, chipped in for Scranton with a solo home run in the top of the second. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
