Bombers Rally For Late Win Over Death Stars
The Bronx Bombers topped the Detroit Death Stars, 10-9, in Darryl Kile League action at The Death Star. The player of the game was Bronx shortstop Bill Ottinger. Ewan Pethick earned his 35th save in 38 chances. The Bombers bumped their record to 65-46 with this latest triumph.

Ottinger had a game-changing double in the top of the eighth. On a 2-0 fastball from Lorenzo Ortega, he banged a bases-clearing double to right-center, giving the Bombers a 10-9 lead. It was the 4th double of the year for Ottinger.

"This game had a little bit of everything," said Ottinger.
