Victory Pushes Raptors Record to 60-49
|
The Peoria Caterpillars got a superb performance from catcher Hiyutaro Ushijima, but the Omaha Raptors still won the game, 9-7. Ushijima was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 2-5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Raptors bumped their record to 60-49 with this latest triumph.
Stanley Harvey hit a run-scoring double off Brian Lapointe in the top of the sixth, which put the Raptors in front, 7-6. In addition to the double, Harvey had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Harvey told reporters after the game.
