Peoria pitcher Rahmad Bintang did his part in helping his team beat the Minneapolis Freeze, 5-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. In 7 innings, Bintang surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Today's win puts Peoria at 53-55, while Minneapolis falls to 58-50.

In the top of the 6th, designated hitter Eric Daniels gave Peoria the lead when he hit a 2-run double. The Caterpillars had been trailing 1-0, but the two-out double off Minneapolis pitcher Curt Hart changed that -- and Peoria went on to win.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Bintang.
