Jesús Ortíz left his imprint on the 8-4 Canton win against the Fairfield Flash. Ortíz, who is tied for 10th in the NAL in RBI with 57, was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Octávio Mendoza, credited with the save, is now 2 for 4 in save opportunities. The Paczkis bumped their record to 53-52 with this latest triumph.
The Paczkis got a big at-bat from center fielder Carl Questi. For the game, Questi was 2-4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 25th double of the season gave Canton a 5-3 lead.
