Caterpillars Get Road Win, 7-3
|
Peoria and Minneapolis met at The Ice Box in front of a lively crowd.
Andy Levine left his imprint on the 7-3 Peoria win against the Minneapolis Freeze. Levine was 2 for 4 with a triple and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Peoria starter Graeme Hughes was credited with the win after throwing 90 pitches over 5.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-8. Adam Stickells notched his 7th save in 9 chances.
The Caterpillars got a big at-bat from designated hitter Corey Follows. For the game, Follows went 1-3 with a walk. In the top of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 8th hit of the season gave Peoria a 2-1 lead.
"Feels good to get the job done," Follows said after the game.
Minneapolis has now lost 4 consecutive games.
