Baristas Prevail, 7-5, Over Vancouver
|
The Silver Lake Baristas had to overcome a big game from Vancouver third baseman Phil Kinch to leave Stanley Park with a 7-5 victory. Kinch went 2-5 with a home run and a triple, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Silver Lake reliever Arata Shimizu, now 1-5. The loser was Yoshiaki Kojima. Cyprien Bataille earned his 6th save in 7 chances.
Chris McNair hit a 2-run double off Yoshiaki Kojima in the top of the fifth, which put the Baristas in front, 5-4. In addition to the double, McNair had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"It was a solid team effort," said McNair after the game.
The Baristas improve their record to 50-53 with the win over Vancouver.
