Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Kitaw Malecela, the Calgary Kodiaks defeated the Omaha Raptors, 16-5. Malecela hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 6 for the Kodiaks. The winner was Calgary reliever Carlos León, now 2-0. The loser was Michael Walsh. Alfredo Crespo earned his 1st save in 1 chances.

Malecela had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Kodiaks went on to win.
