Marauders Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
Maple starter Paul Barrett pitched effectively against the Dallas Texans at Metroplex Park. The right-hander led his team to a 4-1 win. In 7 innings, Barrett surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. The win was the 21st in 27 games this season for the Marauders, who appear to be on course for a return trip to the playoffs.
Kojuro Ine, who is tied for 2nd in the TML with a .431 on-base percentage, chipped in for Maple with a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
