|
Astoria played host to Minneapolis at the friendly confines of Golden Fleece Park.
Chris Pelton never let Minneapolis get something going. The Astoria right-hander commanded his cutter in pitching the Argonauts to a 6-0 win. In 6 innings, Pelton surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. He allowed no runs.
Kieran Alexander aided the Astoria cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
Pelton called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
