Death Stars Stymie Billings, Take 4-1 Win
|
Detroit turned a good effort from starter Kevin Everhart into a win over the Billings Mustangs at The Death Star. The final score was 4-1. The Death Stars bumped their record to 55-49 with this latest triumph.
The Death Stars got a big at-bat from designated hitter Shinji Kakuta. For the game, Kakuta was 2 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 53rd hit of the season gave Detroit a 2-1 lead.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Everhart.
