The Vancouver Canadians knocked off the Pasadena Bumblebees, 8-6, at Stanley Park. Steve Osburn, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Vancouver won. The catcher was 2-3 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Vancouver reliever Bob Johnston picked up the win, upping his record to 10-7. Arturo Gallegos was saddled with the loss. At 49-51, Vancouver is in 4th place in the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division.

Phil Kinch aided the Vancouver cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the shortstop went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Kinch told the Vancouver Gazette.
