Bombers Win in Extras
|
The Bronx Bombers went home winners at The War Dome, thanks in large part to starter Dost Ghuman. Ghuman silenced the Chicago Titans, enabling Bronx to grab the 5-1 win. Bronx reliever Ewan Pethick picked up the win, upping his record to 4-5. Sherwin Aberin was saddled with the loss. The Bombers bumped their record to 60-43 with this latest triumph.
The Bombers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Lyle Keller. For the game, Keller was 1 for 4 with a triple. In the top of the tenth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Bronx a 2-1 lead.
Ghuman told a Bronx Citizen reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
