The Peoria Caterpillars defeated the Silver Lake Baristas, 9-8. Earning player of the game honors was first baseman Kosaku Yasuda, who belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The Caterpillars are now 50-50, while the Baristas fall to 46-52.

Andy Levine's hit in the top of the 12th was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a fastball from Silvino Fagundo for a run-scoring single. It put Peoria in front, 9-8.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Yasuda.
