The Fort Worth Cats dealt the Detroit Death Stars a 14-4 loss at The Death Star. Hirokichi Fujimoto was the star on offense. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The winner was Fort Worth reliever Juan Carlos Baraja, now 2-2. The loser was Noritoshi Hayashi.

Shumei Heida, who is tied for 3rd in the NAL with a .542 slugging percentage, aided the Fort Worth cause with a 2-run triple in the top of the second. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 4 with a triple and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
