Prowlers Drop Another One
|
Oklahoma City pitcher John Denny gave the Stogies all they could handle, but in the end, Havana left The Humidor with a 4-2 win. Denny allowed no earned runs on 1 hit over 5.1 innings. Havana starter Joe Hardy was credited with the win after throwing 111 pitches over 7.1 innings. His record now stands at 5-1. Abdul Razzaq Kharoti recorded the save for Havana, his 9th of the season.
Havana took a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With one out, center fielder Fernando Cruz hit a 3-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Cruz.
Havana is now 17-9.
