Mustangs Turn Back Columbus, 5-3
|
The Mile High Mustangs picked up a win at Central Park Downtown Stadium, knocking off the Columbus Aces, 5-3. On the mound for Mile High was right-hander Jose Albertrani, who played a pivotal role in the win. Albertrani went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-2. Quan Que was called on to finish, recording his 8th save.
Adam Hounsell, who is a two-time All-Star, chipped in for Mile High with a grand slam home run in the top of the second. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.
"It was a solid team effort," said Hounsell after the game.
The win takes Mile High to 13-11.
