The Cacti grabbed a win, 4-3, at Albuquerque Sports Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Vancouver pitcher Cai-fei Men. Men went 7 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. The Cacti bumped their record to 62-33 with this latest triumph.
The Cacti got a big at-bat from catcher Scotti Scannell. For the game, Scannell was 1-5. In the bottom of the tenth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 65th hit of the season gave Albuquerque a 4-3 lead.
"This place sure got loud," said Tom Robertson, the Albuquerque manager.
