Cashmann hits 4th home run, Leads Bombers to Win
The Bronx Bombers topped the Peoria Caterpillars by the score of 8-6, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Ken Cashmann. Cashmann was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Bombers on the day. The Bombers bumped their record to 53-39 with this latest triumph.

Cashmann contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Bronx in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Cashmann took a fastball from Matt Pinke and stroked the home run to right. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Bombers to leap in front, 2-1.

"That's a solid team effort right there," said Cashmann. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
