The Albuquerque Cacti topped the Canton Paczkis by the score of 9-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Munoto Okuta. Okuta was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Cacti on the day. The win was Britt Diaz's in relief. His record improves to 5-1. Lourenço Perry took the loss for Canton. Albuquerque leads the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division by 12˝ games.
The Cacti got a big at-bat from third baseman Chris Werner. For the game, Werner was 1 for 4. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 24th hit of the season gave Albuquerque a 3-2 lead.
