Beavers Bang Out 9-3 Win Versus Cabo San Lucas
|
The Portland Beavers picked up a win at Waterfront Park, knocking off the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 9-3. On the mound for Portland was right-hander Felipe De La Hoya, who played a pivotal role in the win. De La Hoya went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-3. The Toreros fall to 9-16 and continue their uneasy start to the 2033 season.
The Beavers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Anuvaha Tasha. For the game, Tasha went 1-3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 28th hit of the season gave Portland a 2-0 lead.
"Felipe is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Portland manager John Harrison.
