Silver Lake left-hander Van Perry made an effective start against the Acapulco Banditos at Ashton Gate, leading his team to a 4-1 win. Silver Lake is now 40-46, while Acapulco is 38-51.

Early in the game, second baseman Jeff Klein had a 2-run home run for Silver Lake. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Baristas on top, 2-0.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Silver Lake manager José Alonzo. "It's usually not just one thing."
