The Omaha Raptors did just enough to sneak past the Detroit Death Stars, 1-0, at Anchorage Municipal Stadium. Omaha pitcher Mitsuzuka Nakano earned player of the game honors. In 6 innings, Nakano surrendered 1 hit, while striking out 7 and walking 4. He allowed no runs. The Raptors bumped their record to 49-40 with this latest triumph.

The Raptors got a big at-bat from catcher Xiao-peng Chuang. For the game, Chuang was 1 for 3 with a home run. In the bottom of the second, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Omaha a 1-0 lead.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Chuang. "And not try to do too much."
