The Fort Worth Cats stopped the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 6-5, at LaGrave Field. The Cats got a big game from Chandler Lennie, who went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Robby Guzman picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-4. Scott Bernard was tagged with the loss. The 5th-place Cats have won 4 in a row.
Lennie had a game-changing single in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-0 curveball from Luciano Carreiras, he banged a run-scoring single to right, giving the Cats a 6-5 lead. It was the 115th hit of the year for Lennie.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Lennie. "And not try to do too much."
