Billings starter Luis Sánchez had a strong outing against the Calgary Kodiaks at Foothills Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-3 win. The Kodiaks have now dropped 5 straight.

Billings used the timely hitting of Carlos Hernández to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Mustangs on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Sánchez told the Billings Herald.
