|
Jung-tae Ko helped his team muscle past the Fort Worth Cats, 3-2. In the game, the Vancouver designated hitter went 3 for 3 with a triple and 2 singles. Reliever Cai-fei Men picked up the win. His record improves to 4-4. Austin Meyers took the loss. Alexis Coates was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 8 of 11 save opportunities.
Ko had an important at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the second, when he hit a run-scoring triple. The Canadians went on to win.
In postgame comments to the Vancouver Gazette, Ko said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
With the win, Vancouver goes to 54-56, while the Cats fall to 55-56.
