The rain came, as predicted, but the Rubber City Rhinos and Vancouver Pioneers were able to complete their ballgame.
The Rubber City Rhinos topped the Vancouver Pioneers by the score of 14-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to shortstop Billy Joel. Joel was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Rhinos on the day. Sigfrid Arnim, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed 4 runs on 10 hits in 8 innings.
The fans who came in support of the Rhinos were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at The Rubber Grounds.
