Minneapolis wasted a solid 6-inning effort from starting pitcher Pero Donini, losing to Detroit, 2-1, at The Death Star. The win was Brad Ross's in relief. His record improves to 8-3. Mitsuharu Nakashima took the loss for Minneapolis. The Death Stars, at 46-38, have now won 4 straight.

Marty Sella had a nice at-bat for the Death Stars with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With a runner on 2nd, the right fielder grounded out, which would prove important in the Detroit win.

Sella attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
