Argonauts Lose, 7-4, at Cobb Field
|
The Billings Mustangs picked up a win at Cobb Field, knocking off the Astoria Argonauts, 7-4. Starting pitcher Luis Sánchez, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Sánchez, the winner, moves to 7-4. He threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 4 walks. Billings now owns a record of 41-42.
José Castro aided the Billings cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the second. For the game, the second baseman went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Castro said after the game.
